Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Wednesday Aug 22nd Istanbul Arrival.
Welcome to Turkey. Arrival into Istanbul. Transfer from airport & check in to your hotel. Tonight we have a welcome dinner. You will meet our friendly crew and other travelers while enjoying Turkish Food and enjoy the mystical atmosphere of Istanbul at night. Includes: (D).
Day 2: Thursday Aug 23rd Istanbul City Tour.
We depart at 09:00 for the Istanbul city tour. We will begin with ancient Hippodrome, which was the scene of chariot races, with the three monuments: the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column and the Column of Constantine. We will then continue with Sultanahmet Mosque across from St. Sophia built in the 16th century by the architect Mehmet. It is also known as the Blue Mosque because of its magnificent interior decorated with blue Iznik tiles, we then head to our last stop which is the famous Hagia Sophia. This ancient basilica, built by Constantine the Great in the 4th century and reconstructed by Justinian in the 6th century, is one of the architectural marvels of all time.
After we will make a shopping tour in which you will be aware of the ancient arts of Turkey like carpet weaving, leather manufacturing and jewelry. As this will be a guided tour, you will avoid being hassled which will enable you enjoy the shopping experience whilst gaining the knowledge of the ancient craftsmen.
After the tour you have the opportunity to experience The Bosphorous by cruising on the boat which is one of our optional activities. You will have the chance to enjoy magnificent views of Bosphorous which is connecting Asia to Europe. The rest of the evening is yours to enjoy Istanbul. Overnight in Istanbul. Includes: (B).
Day 3: Friday Aug 24th Istanbul Grand Prix.
First day of racing. You will be escorted to the event by private air-conditioned bus. Your ticket will be for the Triburne 1 Grand Stand on the 1st corner where we are situated as a group and have prime viewing. At the end of the day, you will be collected by private air-conditioned bus and returned to the hotel. Tonight we have the optional activity of the Turkish Night which should not be missed. Includes (Whirling Dervishes, Belly dancers, Turkish cuisine and wine, live music). Includes: (B).
Day 4: Saturday Aug 25th Istanbul Grand Prix.
Second day of racing and Qualifying.You will be escorted to the event by private air-conditioned bus. At the end of the day, you will be collected by private air-conditioned bus and returned to the hotel. Option to experience the Traditional Turkish Bath in this evening. Hamam, that's the word for the Turkish bath – a traditional bath dating back centuries. Consists of a full body wash and scrub, massage, and an out of this world feeling. Includes: (B).
Day 5: Sunday Aug 26th Istanbul Grand Prix.
Race Day! You will be escorted to the event by private air-conditioned bus. Once again at the end of the day, you will be collected by private air-conditioned bus and returned to the hotel
For those leaving us early, airport transfers will be running Sunday evening. Includes: (B).
Day 6: Monday Aug 27th Departures.
Airport transfers will be running as this is the end of the tour. Includes: (B).
