Enjoy and experience the beautiful scenery and great off-road riding at Otley Chevin Forest Park and surrounding bridleways. It`s a great way to start to develop the ability, confidence and safety awareness of Mountain Biking for all the family as well as individuals. Instruction is provided by fully qualified Mountain Bike instructor/leader in a fun relaxing atmosphere. Courses start 10am and finish at 4pm approx. Terrain is quite technical but not to demanding so general fitness is a must.
During the day the course will cover the following:
- Bike preparation [safety checks];
- Riding position;
- Correct use of gears;
- Braking [efficiently and safely] ;
- Ascending techniques [climbing];
- Descending techniques [coming down.....Ouch];
- Cornering techniques;
- Riding single track;
- Drops.
