* Day 1
Arrival spending the night at a hotel near the airport in San Jose.
* Day 2 - Arenal Volcano and Tabacon
During the 2 ½ hour tour, through the National Park of the Arenal Volcano, you will be able to see one of the most active volcanoes of the world, even able to see little flows of lava. After the walking tour you will be taken to visit the Tabacón Hot Springs; perfectly combine mineral content, volume and temperature. Dinner is included
* Day 3 - Caño Negro Wetlands
The tour starts at 7: 30 a.m. with a 1-½ hour Transfer to Los Chiles, a culturally mixed village only 4-km from the Nicaraguan border. The Caño Negro wild life reserve, a rainforest area, is considered one of the richest in biodiversity in Costa Rica (birds, three different species of monkeys, iguanas, sloth, caimans, turtles, etc). You will be riding a boat for 4 hours through the river.
- Jeep-Boat-Jeep Transfer
It is the fastest way to travel from Arenal to Monteverde. The trip starts at La fortuna in the afternoon, where you will be taken to the Arenal Dam. There you will board a boat for around 35 minutes observing a beautiful panorama and sightseeing in front of the Arenal Volcano. On the other side of the lake a tranfer will take you to your hotel in Monteverde.
* Day 4 Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve
During a 2 hour walking tour you will visit the extraordinary Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, one of the most famous in the world, which crosses the Tilaran Mountains and becomes a sanctuary for diverse species of birds, plants and mammals, covering approximately 5,000 hectares. Among the birds hosted here, lives the beautiful Quetzal.
* Day 5 - Butterfly farm
You can not be in Monteverde without visiting the biodiversity center and Butterfly farm. During the 1 ½ hour tour you will be able to observe and learn about 40 species of one of the most beautiful insects of Costa Rica. The farm counts with multiple little gardens, where each of them represents one different habitat.
* Day 6 Manuel Antonio National Park
This park is just south of Quepos on the Pacific Coast, 132 km from San Jose. Perhaps it is so popular because of its white sand beaches backed by an evergreen forest that grows right up to the high tide line. The principal habitants are primary forest, secondary forest, mangrove swamps, lagoons and beach vegetation. There is quite a varied fauna with 109 species of mammals and 184 of birds. The park includes 12 little isles just off the coast; these are a number of dolphins and, at times, migrating whales can be observed.
* Day 7 - Isla Damas
An exiting boat tour through the mangrove swamp’s canals full of nature, where you will be able to observe monkeys, reptiles, birds, and marine species.
* Day 8
Transfer from Manuel Antonio to the San Jose area, spending the night at a hotel near the airport.
* Day 9
Airport drop off.
