Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Johannesburg - Kruger National Park Your safari starts when you depart O. R. Tambo International Airport (previously Johannesburg International Airport) for a short one-hour flight into Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. (Alternatively a bus ticket or a road transfer can be arranged.) Upon arrival you will be met by a Ranger and transferred to Kruger National Park in Open Safari Vehicle or Closed Transfer vehicle. Pending on the time of your arrival. En route to your camping accommodation in Kruger National Park, you will see panoramic views of modern rural Africa until we reach Kruger National Park. Your game viewing safari starts the moment that we enter the gate, where we will join up with existing groups.
Once you have arrived at your camp in Kruger National Park, you will be introduced to your Ranger who awaits your welcome to brief you on what to expect from a camping safari experience. This experience includes your morning and noon game drives with our campfire cuisine our specialty. On the noon game drive we will try to stay out there as long as possible and be back in the camp just before the gate closes. We will sip on a sundowner and watch the sun set over the African bush. One of your highlights of your Kruger Park camping safari will be the cacophony of nocturnal sounds around campfire. Your Ranger will be on hand to interpret the sounds for you. (Supper, sandwiches & all hot beverages included.)
Day 2: Kruger National Park Safari. Today we rise early, even before the sun rises! A welcome cup of tea or coffee will be served piping hot from the coals with a Rusk to dunk! Once the gates open we will be on the road looking for the nocturnal species looking for a den to sleep the day away and we will also encounter the diurnal species waking up from a good nights rest for their long hot sunny day in Africa. We will watch the day break! See many amazing creatures, plants and animals on a morning game drive on Open Safari Vehicle. Once we are really hungry we will return to camp. A scrumptious brunch awaits us. All prepared on open fire or on our mobile kitchen unit. Leisure time in camp, on the heat of the day is spend reading, swimming or bird watching. This is the more pleasant way of passing time.
Coffee & tea will be served with sandwiches before we depart on our noon drive. This is exciting game viewing time spend in the African afternoon bush. The shadows will draw all longer and we will encounter animals on their way to slake their thirst. On the noon game drive we will try to stay out there as long as possible and be back in the camp just before the gate closes. We will sip on a sundowner and watch the sun set over the African bush. In camp, open fire cuisine will once again tantalize your taste buds. The camp fire will be going till late at night creating the ambience to forge friendships. (Brunch, supper, sandwiches, one sundowner drink & all hot beverages included.)
Day 3: Kruger National Park - Johannesburg On day 3 we depart the normal time for the morning game drive. This is your last game drive before returning. In camp a divine brunch is prepared once again while you are on drive. Your transfer guide will transfer you to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport or alternative bus station. From there you take a flight to O. R. Tambo International Airport (previously Johannesburg International Airport) or catch a bus to your next destination. (Brunch Included & all hot beverages).
