Day 1:
“Dive/Snorkel Combo: Hol Chan & Shark Ray Alley Marine Reserve“
Hol Chan Mayan for “little Channel”, (quebrado) in Spanish, is about 4miles south, a short 15minute boat ride. Hol Chan has flourished into a unique and diverse marine life refuge; with robust coral formations and abundance of marine life. Our combination trip gives you a 30ft dive along the natural channel. We then proceed to snorkel at Shark Ray Alley which offers the excitement of up close and personal exchanges with jubilant Nurse Sharks and Southern Stingrays. (15ft deep, non dive able area).
Day 2:
Offshore Atoll Day Trip: Blue Hole & Lighthouse Reef Atoll
Gentle early morning breezes warmed by the day’s new sun, as it peeks from the horizon, accompany you on the -2hr boat ride to Lighthouse Reef Atoll; for a wonderful 3 dives day trip. The first, though a deep dive (130ft), "The Great Blue Hole" is simply serene as you glide among the ancient and enourmous stalactites and stalagmites as Caribbean Reef Sharks sashay beyond in the deep blue. From there we travel a few minutes to the second site, Half Moon Caye Wall, for an exceptional wall dive. A beautiful sheer wall covered with sweeping Gorgonians, Sea Fans, impressive Barrel Sponges and lots of marine life scurrying about. We'll take to the Island of Half Moon Caye, for some surface interval, at which time we'll serve you a scrumptious full Belizean meal. Walk off lunch with a breezy relaxing stroll down the beach to the " White Faced Red Footed Booby Bird" Sanctuary, where you will also meet Majestic Frigate Birds in their grand full wingspan flight, as well as the Handsome Iguanas of Half Moon Caye. Another few minutes boat ride to Long Caye, will immerse you into either the "Aquarium" or "Eagle Ray Wall" or... whichever the choice site, it is sure to be an unparalleled wall dive for which Belize is highly famed for. These walls pose enough marine habitat rumpus to overwhelm your expectations. These reefs are so flamboyant with sweeping Gorgonians, barrel sponges and midnight parrot fish darting about and among garden eels, just to mention a few. As we make our way back to Ambergris Caye we commonly meet Bottled Nose Dolphins who will meet and greet the boat and ride along ...
