Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Nairobi. Connect with flight NBOJRO. Transfer from Arusha Airport to Impala Hotel. 12h00 Lunch at Impala Hotel. If flight arrives after 13h00 you will be taken to the Impala Hotel and given a lunch box) 14h00 Depart Arusha and travel west to the Ngorongoro Conservation area. The Ngorongoro crater, situated 2,286 sq/m above sea level, is the largest unbroken caldera in the world. Surrounded by very steep walls rising 610 metres from the crater floor, this natural amphitheatre covers an area of about 260 sq kms – home to up to 25,000 larger mammals, almost half of them zebra and wildebeest. There are also gazelle, buffalo, eland, hartebeest and wart hog. Such vast numbers attract predators, mainly lion and hyena but also cheetah and leopard. The crater has been declared a world Heritage Site. Dinner and Overnight: Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge. Includes: (D).
Day 2: 08H00 Morning game drive in the crater. Lunch at the lodge on the crater rim. 14h00 Proceed to Northern Serengeti via Olduvai Gorge. The Serengeti National Park is arguably the best known wildlife sanctuary in the world. Serengeti means “endless plains” in the Maasi language. About 35 species of plains animals can be seen here including the so-caled “big five” elephant, rhino, lion (more than 2000), leopard and buffalo. In May or early June huge herds of wildebeest, gazelle and zebra begin their spectacular migrations. Dinner and Overnight: Lobo Wildlife Lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 3: Morning game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Lunch at the Lodge. Afternoon Game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and Overnight: Serengeti Sopa Lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 4: 06H30 Early morning game drive before breakfast. 10h00 Another game drive still in the Serengeti. 12h00 Lunch at the Lodge. 14h00 Proceed to Ndutu area with game drive en route. Dinner and Overnight: Ndutu Safai Lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 5: 08h00 Game drive around Ndutu area. Lunch at Ndutu Camp. 14h00 Proceed to Lake Manyara National Park to the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge. Set in the Rift Valley, the park is 325 sq kms, and the lake itself (believed to have been formed over 2-3 million years ago) comprises of 229 sq kms. Dinner and Overnight: Lake Manyara Serena Lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 6: 08H00 After breakfast enjoy a morning game drive in Manyara Park. Drive back to Arusha arriving back by lunch time. Lunch at Impala Hotel. (If unable to have lunch at the Impala Hotel due to time – you will be given a lunch box.) Transfer to Arusha Airport. Includes: (B), (L).
