Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive at Auckland International Airport;
*Travel to Rotorua, gateway to Maori culture and geothermal wonderlands;
*Gondola and Mountain Luge sleds at Skyline Skyrides;
*Accommodation: Cabins.
Day 2: Waka (Maori war canoe) & Sea Kayak paddle on Lake Rotoiti to Hot Pools;
*Award winning Bath House Museum;
*Okere Falls, Sulphur Track or Whakarewarewa Redwoods walk;
*Accommodation: Cabins.
Day 3: Travel towards Urewera National Park and the Rangitaiki River
*Whitewater rafting (grade 3/4);
*Continue travel to the East Coast of the Bay of Plenty and our coastal Marae;
*Maori Welcoming ceremony;
*Accommodation: Marae Stay.
Day 4: Morning wananga (Maori Arts & Crafts workshop);
*Afternoon raft mission and island adventure to historical Hokianga Island;
*Island Camp.
Day 5: Return to Mainland;
*½ group 2 hrs. Coastal horse trekking;
*½ group Beach Games and Orienteering;
*Groups swap activity;
*Return to Marae & Assist in Hangi dinner preparations (traditional meal buried underground);
*Marae stay.
Day 6: Travel to coastal hamlet, Mount Maunganui;
*Coastal walks, Fish & Chips, Salt water Hot Pools;
*Accommodation: Cabin/Dormitory.
Day 7: Farewells and Departing flights home.
