Helicopters in New Zealand can fly with very few restrictions. For a number of demanding clients, we have developed heli-tours (from one day up to two weeks) which incorporate their interests and some of our special signature activities, people and places.
For example, we have put together a day tour out of Auckland incorporating stops on deserted beaches, Auckland scenic, private tour of geothermal attraction in Rotorua and private visit to caves and a lovely bushwalk in Waitomo. To drive this tour would take 8+ hours of driving time alone, hence the helicopter. The views are of course lovely.
For another client, we went the length of the country, with a guide, stopping the helicopter on the front lawns of a number of top lodges and filling each day with activities pre-agreed the night before.
