Tucked away in the eastern corner of the country, the region boasts striking scenery, excellent game viewing and some first-class roading. This brand new guided trail explores some of the most beautiful parts of the Tuli Block, incorporating game viewing, visits to interesting geological features and, of course plenty of off-road fun.

The trail is seasonal and there is plenty of water and mud to keep you busy. If you plan to do the trail during the summer months make sure you bring along a recovery kit. Part of the appeal of the Tuli Elephant Trail: you can basically tailor the route to suite your driving skills.

Despite the opportunity for seriously tough off-roading, the Tuli Elephant Trail is not just a route for "Die Manne". On the contrary, it makes for a great family outing, offering a range of interesting distractions along the way. The Tuli Elephant Trail passes directly through elephant country, and you are almost guaranteed good sightings of these magnificent beasts. Learn more about the people of the Tuli Block - along the way you can stop in at some of the local villages and learn a bit about the the interesting culture of the Tswana tribes.

The trail also takes you past a number of striking geological features, the most impressive of which must certainly be Solomon's Wall, a 30 metre high wall of basalt through which the Motloutse has carved a path on it's journey to the Limpopo. This trail offers a challenge to the rookie and the most experienced off-roader.

It's a fascinating and ancient part of the country. a place of bushman paintings, historical ruins and even dinosaur fossils; It's also a 4x4 enthusiasts paradise, but surprisingly no formal trails have been established in the area. Until now, that is.
