The 40 000 ha Mkuzi Game reserve is 3 hours travel north of Durban. With 420 species, it is one of the top birding hot-spots in Southern Africa. Mkuzi has a wide & diverse habitat, including swamps, open grasslands, inland water pans, a unique sand forest, woodlands, acacia savanna, riverine forest. The night sounds of Africa come alive at Mkuzi. We overnight for 2 nights at Mkuzi. We also visit and stay at Bonamanzi Game Ranch, with a bird-list of 350 species. The 4 day tour package also includes a 2 hour boat cruise on Lake St Lucia, a World Heritage Site (Simangaliso).
