The appoach to Mera Peaks it a chance to venture through a seldom visited and unspiled region of Nepal,Where the hillsides are atill covered in dense forest.The route leads over high passes and through remote areas with abundant forests of tall blue Himayaan pines hemlocks briches and loxuriant rhododendrons, At the lofty height of 6476 M Mera Peak is Nepal's highest Trekking Peak and boasts an absolutely stunning Summit Panorama,That include five of world's Evreast 8848M Makalu 8475M Lhotse 8501M and Cho oyo 8153M, The Climb itelf is quite straightforward on snow slopes. Which is verely exceed 30 degrees,After the ascent Peak,We proceed north.Through the upper Hunku valley,A mountain wildernees with massive moraines,Glacial lakes and spectacular Peaks,Mingmo la is 5817M is quite steep as we descend among ice fltes for more then 100 Meters,

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Katmandu. Airport - hotel transfer.

Day 2: Katmandu. Day at leisure.

Day 3: Katmandu - Lukla (2800 m) by plane. Spectacular approach. The landing strip is perched at mountainside overhanging Dudh Kosi gorge. Climb up to the Chutok La pass (2945 m) and camp at Chutok (2800 m), after a 3-hour walk.

Day 4: Chutok - Col Khari La (3081 m) - Pangkongma (2950 m) in 6 h. After the pass the trail carries on mountainsides through the Khari Khola valley.

Day 5: Pangkongma - Kurke (3800 m) in 5 h. A magnificent route via mountains crests through rocky and wild landscapes. We go through a pass and enjoy a splendid panorama of woody regions below us.

Day 6: Kurke - Thuli Kharka (4200 m) in 6 h. Climb up to a pass at 4400 m and descend towards Thuli Karkha, meaning "vast pasture".

Day 7: Thuli Kharka - Khote (3600 m) in 5 h. Descend on hillsides, firstly by pleasant meadows, and lower down through forests of blue Himalayan pines and rhododendrons. Beautiful views of the south side of Mera Peak. Camp near the Hinku river.

Day 8: Khote - Tangnag (4350 m) in 6 h. Climb up the Hinku valley through summer pastures. Near Lungsamba, the valley narrows, wedged between the Kusum Kangru (6369 m) and the west summit of Mera Peak (6255 m).

Day 9 : Acclimatisation at Tangnag.

Day 10: Tangnag - Khare (4900 m) in 4 h. Climb up along the lateral moraine of the Dig Glacier. Interesting prospect of the Mera Peak.

Day 11: Khare - Mera La (5415 m) - Base Camp (5300 m) in 5 h. Progress on the snowy glacier, approaching the pass the slope becomes steep. Camp site on a moraine field, bellow the pass.

Day 12: Base Camp - High Camp (5800 m) in 4 h. This is one of the best parts of the trek. Stunning panorama of giants mountains rising above 7000 m, among the highest on earth: Chamlang (7290 m), Makalu (8475 m) and Baruntse (7220 m) to the east, Everest (8848 m), Lhotse (8501 m) and Nuptse to the north, and Ama Dablam, Cho Oyo (8153 m) and Kantega on west. Camp on a formation of rocks separating the Mera and Naulekh glaciers.

Day 13: Mera Peak ascension (6476 m) and return to the Base Camp (5340 m) in 10 h. Ascent of the Mera Peak central summit by the north face. Steady progress on a snowy glacier with few crevasses. It is only on nearing the summit that the slope takes a steeper gradient, around 45°.

Day 14 : Safety day. The ascension can be postponed in case of bad weather.

Day 15: Base Camp - Hunku Khola (4900 m) in 5 h. We climb up the Hunku Khola valley, with beautiful sights of Chamlang (7290 m).

Day 16: Hunku Khola - Hunku Nup Lake (5350 m) in 5 h. We leave behind us the Hunku Khola valley and progress on moraines towards Mingbo La.

Day 17: Hunku Nup Lake - Mingbo La Pass (5817 m) - Nare Glacier (5300 m) in 9 h. Progress for 3 hours on the Hunku Nup glacier before reaching the pass, the crossing of which is delicate. Setting up a 150 m fixed rope is sometimes necessary to get onto the Nare glacier. Camp on a moraine field.

Day 18: Nare Glacier (5300 m) - Pangboche (3980 m) in 5 h. By a good trail, we reach the Mingbo village, then Pangboche, which shelters the most ancient monastery in the Khumbu. Awesome views of the Ama Dablam.

Day 19: Pangboche - Tengpoche (3867 m) - Namche Bazar (3440 m) in 6 h. Tengpoche monastery, situated in a glade surrounded by dwarf fir trees and rhododendrons, is the main Buddhist centre of Khumbu.

Day 20: Namche Bazar - Lukla in 6 h.

Day 21: Lukla - Katmandu by plane.

Day 22: Katmandu. Day at leisure. Safety day for your international flight.

Day 23: Katmandu. Hotel - airport transfer. Bis itinerary depending the weather forecast and snow coverage starting on day 16: Hunku Khola - Panch Pokhari Lakes- Chhukung (via Amphu Lapsa: 5700 m) - Tengboche - Namche Bazar - Lukla - Katmandu.
