The Murry Foundation works tirelessly to expose and eradicate the cruelties that exist in our modern age; the savage mistreatment of animals, destruction of vital ecosystems and the suffering that exists within humanity itself. The Foundation believes in long term solutions through careful planning and education that will inevitably lead to self-sustainability and an end to the needless destruction of our planet.
The Murray Foundation is a non-profit, non-salary taking organization that supports like minded institutions. We believe that charity is unconditional and that 100% of donations must reach the cause for which they were intended.
The Foundation currently supports a myriad of projects including the development of the world’s first orphan village, that will bring orphans off the street into a caring refuge that will teach them long term survival and development, while working with their environment.
The Foundation has also saved thousands of animals and has recently purchased new land in South Africa that will provide sanctuary for over 4500 animals, many of which are endangered and have already suffered intolerable cruelties.
The Foundation has already received many international awards, including Best Conservation Charity in Nepal. The curse of an orphan is in many ways one of the only dark certainties in the world today. Lives can be tainted and shrouded in pessimism by karmic justice, inactivity and bad luck; they are however affected by one’s own actions.
The orphan however is born into the body of the world, a crippled world, the spine missing. The orphan has no promise of paternal strength or maternal warmth; they are a solitary being within a race that draws strength and hope from a family the orphan does not possess.
The Murray Foundation has been synonymous with the provision of hope to the vulnerable and needy, whether the beneficiary is animal or human. The Foundation understands the inequalities that exist in our contemporary society and seeks to uphold the value of the world’s most precious commodity: Life.
We recognized that while the school and village had an incredible sense of community, these children have never had the benefit of a parental figure who they know will look after them. The children have only known desertion and loss and we wanted to give them the opportunity to feel part of an immediate family.
"Our work is all about long term solutions, not a quick fix", comments Adam. "We have to address all aspects of the children’s development. In the UK, a child’s education and family life are considered to be the crucial factors in their development. We would be doing these children an injustice if we did not consider all aspects of their development."
