Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire
This morning, drive to Tarangire National park named after the river that flows through the length of the park and provides a constant water source for the thousands of animals that has made this park their permanent home as well as migratory animals that congregates in the dry season along the river. Arrive in time for lunch and afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Tarangire Sopa.
Day 2: Tarangire – Lake Manyara
Have your final game drive in Tarangire whereby large herds of Elephants, zebra, buffalo, wildebeest, leopard, rhino and lots of smaller mammals can be seen. Drive to the nearby Lake Manyara National park .The main attractions here are the tree climbing lions. The park is small in size but the terrain is diverse. The vegetation comprises of groundwater forest, open grassland, swamp and acacia woodland with giant mahogany and fig trees. The park is home to a wide variety of mammals and birds. Dinner and overnight at the Lake Manyara Serena.
Day 3: Lake Manyara - Serengeti
This morning drive to Serengeti National park, the park covers 12,944 square kms of open plains making it one of the largest in the world. The rocky out-crops referred to as Kopjes in the eastern part of the park are of scenic beauty and occasionally various cats can be seen lazing on them. The park also contains very vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle and other antelopes. After your game drive you will retire for the night at the Lodge
Day 4: Serengeti
Morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti with a lunch and leisure break at the lodge in the mid afternoon. This park is normally the scene of the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra, which occurs between the Serengeti and Kenya’s Masai Mara. Variety of bird species can be seen in this park. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
Day 5: Seregeti – Ngorongoro
Drive to ngorongoro conservation via Olduvai Gorge for a visit to the site of the remains of prehistoric man to arrive in time for dinner and overnight stay at the Ngorongoro Serena.
Day 6: Ngorongoro
Descend down the Crater which is 670 m deep and 14.5 km wide and is a home to all the big five and wide variety of antelopes and birds, all protected within the confines of the Crater walls. Black Rhino, Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Cheetah, Hyena, warthog, Impala, Buffalo, Hartebeest, Eland and smaller mammals can be seen. There are colorful flamingoes and other water birds around the soda lake on the crater floor. In the evening ascend up and out of the Crater to spend the night at the Ngorongoro Serena.
Day 7: Ngorongoro – Arusha
Morning Crater tour then departure for Arusha to arrive in the early evening.
