This adventure Experience includes paddling past historical boat houses, a golf course, secluded riverside homes and the 'Bat Zone'- home of the Grey Headed Flying Fox. See them roosting in the trees that line the banks of the river and stirring at dusk. Water birds such as the black duck, cormorants and water hens also join us on the tour along with a range of parrots, and if we're lucky we might see an Azure Kingfisher as well! We paddle up to 1.5 hours on the water until dusk, then enjoy a picnic supper on the banks of the river.
This is a 3 hour tour beginning 3 hours before sunset. Transport pick up from your city hotel possible for an extra fee. Otherwise, meet us at Yarra Bend Park, Fairfield where the tour begins. Starting time varies depending on the season. Call prior to the tour to confirm times. You'll need to wear shoes and comfortable clothes for paddling in our 2 person kayaks or canoes. Bring a change of clothes in a day pack just in case you get wet! More details provided upon booking.
