Challenge yourself and your friends on this memorable day in the Australian outdoors. Pick up from the Arts Centre, St Kilda Rd Melbourne at 8.30am and return approx 5.30pm. Transport in 4WD to the climbing site approximately 1 hour from Melbourne. Range of venues including You Yangs State Park, Brisbane Ranges National Park or Mt Macedon Ranges, all west of the city. Morning session introduction to top rope climbing techniques, belaying and abseiling.
A picnic lunch and more climbing and abseiling in the afternoon, often at different site in the same park. Forward abseiling or 'rap jumping' also available after lunch. Cliffs range from 8m - 30m throughout the day. You need to wear comfortable clothing for the outdoors and runners. Limited sizes of rock climbing shoes supplied. It's a great day out climbing on natural rock. Let us know if you're vegetarian as we often have hot dogs for lunch in the cooler months. In summer we have salad rolls or sandwiches for lunch.
