Tour Itinerary:

Day 1, Wednesday: Launceston, Mole Creek, Cradle Mountain. First, a short drive through Launceston city on the way to Cataract Gorge, the jewel of Launceston. Leave Launceston and stop by Chudleigh Honey Farm for honey tasting and a honey ice-cream (own expense). Next, visit Maracoopa Cave near Mole Creek for a guided tour of limestone cave (see glow worm) that is millions of years old. Travel to the World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain National Park. Overnight Cradle Mountain. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 2, Thursday: Cradle Mountain, Rosebery, Strahan. Still in the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, drive to famous Dove Lake, view the magnificent Cradle Mountain at the background, take a short walk to glacier rock and then enjoy pleasant walk along the creek “enchanted walk”. On the way to Strahan, see beautiful Lake Rosebery, enjoy Henty Sand Dunes and view the Southern Ocean (see as far as you can imagine – perhaps Argentina). Arrive in Strahan, considered one of the prettiest villages in Tasmania. Take an easy walk through rain forest to see samples of Tasmania’s trees and Hogarth Falls. Visit an award winning woodcraft center with beautifully designed woodworks on display. Sunset from Strahan looks fantastic! Overnight Strahan. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 3, Friday: Strahan, Queenstown, Hobart. Queenstown is an old mining town reflecting of past glory and surrounded by mine-colored mountains. After a short visit to Queenstown, head towards Hobart. En route, enjoy a short walk to beautiful Nelson Falls and turn at Derwent Bridge to see Lake St Clair – Australia’s deepest lake. Next stop is Mt Field National Park to view famous Russell Falls (regularly seen on Tasmanian calendars) and the Tall Trees before the tour concludes in Hobart about 5:30. We drop you off at your hotel or in front of the Hobart Travel and Information Center (downtown area). Includes: (B), (L).
