A Legend tells that once the people of the region decided to mine in this area but the devil himself feared the people might dig down into his hideout in hell. So he decided to travel to the sea shore and return with a bag of sand in order to burry the mine. But on his way back and loaded with a huge bag full of sand, he wasn't paying attention and unfortunately between Olkusz and Klucze, he sliced the bag open with the tip of a church tower, losing all the sand.
