Situated at the most southern point of the Cape Peninsula, and flanked by the cold Atlantic on the west and the warm Indian Ocean on the east, Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve is noted for its abundant floral diversity. The reserve has a spectacular coastline, with Cape Point boasting the highest sea cliffs in South Africa. A funicular takes visitors up to the highest vantage point from where they can witness the meeting of the two oceans.
Table Mountain – World Heritage Site: Quietly presiding over the City of Cape Town, Table Mountain has over the centuries become one of South Africa's best-known landmarks. This breathtaking sandstone plateau rising steeply above the Cape Flats is a World Heritage Site, as well as a nature reserve. The famous flat top is approximately 3 km wide, and its highest point, Maclears Beacon rises to 1 086 m above sea-level. The summit can be reached by trails or via the recently refurbished cable-car. The latter boasts a revolving floor for panoramic viewing on your way up. From the top you are offered magnificent views of the most beautiful city in the world.
