After the tour and wine tasting we have lunch on a lake. On the way back we stop we stop at the beautiful Rose Garden Country Resort for the highly entertaining Thai Village Cultural Show. Relax, as more than 150 performers vividly portray a fascinating cross-section of Thailand’s cultural heritage. This 60-minute, action-packed show features exciting displays of Thai martial arts, Thai boxing, and sword fighting skills that date back over 600 years. Also included are the romantic rituals of the traditional Thai wedding ceremony, rich pageantry of Buat Naag (the ceremony of ordination into Buddhist monkhood), hill tribe dances, and Thai elephants on the move. Enjoy and drive back to Bangkok. Free for dinner.

Day 5: Morning flight to Chiang Mai (included). Short city tour by minibus, light lunch and cooking class at Chinag Mai Thai Cookery School with Chef Sompon, followed by dinner.

Day 6: Pleasant scenic trip to the north of Chiangmai. Amidst lush tropical jungle beside a meandering river, watch elephants take their daily bath. (OK guys, blow your trumpet and clean those nostrils). A show of how these magnificent animals are used in the timber industry, pushing, dragging and rolling logs in unison at the command of their mahouts. And here comes the best part - "ride 'em cowboy" time. It's now time for an exciting 1 hour elephant ride over the hills and into the lush jungle. You've got to "swing with the sway" as you rumble and thrash along and hang on tight folks. (Elephants are very sure-footed animals). Then experience a 15 minutes ox-cart ride back to the camp. (This form of transportation is probably similar to what your ancestors traveled in, in the middle ages). A picnic lunch is provided under the cool jungle shade. After lunch, enjoy a 1 hour "Huckleberry Finn" bamboo rafting trip on the placid Mae Taeng river. Glide along in a summer dream. Visit an Orchid Nursery Farm filled with exotic orchid blooms. A superb butterfly collection is also available for your perusal at a Butterfly Farm. Return to Chiangmai. Evening free to shop at Chiang Mai bustling night market.

Day 7: Cooking class at Chiang Mai Thai Cookery School with lunch. Free afternoon for shopping to relax at a spa for the famous thai massage and beauty treatments. Delight in a Kantoke dinner with traditional dances from Northern Thailand. As guests of this unique event, you will be seated on the floor, as is customary, and enjoy acted scenes depicting the local culture as you dine. After dinner, villagers from various hill tribes will perform an exciting array of cultural dances, including the Fon Lep (Fingers Dance), Sword Dance, Fon Thien (Candle Dance), and Ramwong, in which all guests are invited to participate.

Day 8: morning flight back to Bangkok and end tour.
