Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Antananarivo
Arrived at the airport, transfer to hotel: Bed and breakfast.
Day 2: Antananarivo - Morondava
Transfer to airport for flight on Morondava. Upon arrival, the transfer to hotel. Dinner and night.
Day 3: Morondava - Bekopaka
Departure by 4WD car to Bekopaka crossing the river of Tsiribihina. Lunch in a restaurant on the way and continuation on a track to reach our destination
Arrival at Bekopaka. Dinner and night in hotel.
Day 4: Bekopaka
Early in the morning with a guide of the Park, walk through the Grand Tsingy and its calcareous clives in sharp stones.
Pic nic lunch. Back to hotel in late afternoon. Dinner and night in hotel.
Day 5: Bekopaka
Canoe tripoin the river Manombolo. Stops in several caves
Lunch pic nic and visit of an other Tsingy. Dinner and night at hotel.
Day 6: Bekopaka - Morondava
Back to Morondava with lunch on the way. Stop at the famous Allée des Baobabs with its wonderful sunset. Dinner and night in hotel.
Day 7: Morondava - Antananarivo
Morning, visit of the fisher village of betania reached by pirogue. Free lunch and transfer to airport for flight to Antananarivo. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel, accommodation on bed and breakfast.
Day 8: Antananarivo – Antsirabe
Departure to Antsirabe by minibus. Arrival in Antsirabe, lunch at the restaurant in Antsirabe, and visit of Tritriva crater, walking down to the lake. Than continuation to the ecotouristic village of jean lamour in Manandona. Dinner and night in guesthouse.
Day 9: Mont Ibity
The great climbing of Ibity, 7 hours of walking with the semi precious of stone diggers across the areas hill with Visit of the industrial stones (Kaolin, Feldspath, white quartz and pink, Talk). Climbing the famous Mountain and its exceptional view. Pic nic lunch and return to guesthouse with dinner and night.
Day 10: Manandona Ambositra – Antoetra
Continuation by car to Ambositra, capital of carven wood, free lunch and route for Antoetra to the villages of the Zafimaniry tribe. Dinner and night in Antoetra in small comfortable bungalows.
Day 11: Antoetra - Ambahona
5 hours of walking. Night in traditional comfortable bungalows at Ambahona in “sous le soleil de mada” on half board accommodation. Pic nic lunch.
Day 12: Ambahona - Faliarivo
4 hours of walking. Night at Faliarivo, half board accomodation at ”sous le soleil de mada" Pic nic lunch.
Day 13: Faliarivo - Antoetra - Fianarantsoa
3 hours of walking. Pic nic Lunch, arrival in Antoetra and continuation by car to Fianarantsoa. Dinner and night at Zomatel hotel.
Day 14: Fianarantsoa - Andringitra
Southwards to Andringitra. Visit of workshop of Antaimoro paper at Ambalavao. Possibility to visit vineyard during season. Lunch at Ambalavao. Arrival at Andringitra in the end of the afternoon. Dinner and night at the lodging.
Day 15: Andringitra
Departure after breakfast to visit of Andringitra National park, 31.160 ha area. This park is situated in the montain of Andringitra in the high and unique formation of granite and gneiss. The altutide change of 720 to 2.658 m of Pic Boby, the highest top accessible in Madagascar. 15 species of lemurs and 30 species endemic variety of orchids have been recorded in this area. Picnic lunch. Back to the lodging in the end of the afternoon. Dinner and night at lodging.
Day 16: Andringitra – Ranohira
Departure after breakfast to Ranohira. Here is the beginning of the real South of the island with these immense sweeps of arid steppes and big herds of zebus. Lunch at Isalo. Arrival at Ranohira in the afternoon. Dinner and night at the hotel.
Day 17: Ranohira
After breakfast, visit of the Isalo park, walk to the “Piscine Naturelle”. 2 hours and half walking Bath and lunch at the restaurant. Visit of the Canyon and Back to hotel in the end of the afternoon after stop at the Isalo Window for sunset. Dinner and night in hotel
Day 18: Ranohira - Tulear
Continuation to the South passing by typical Mahafaly tombs and the spiny bus, characteristic of the South. Visit of the market of shells at Tulear. Lunch at Isalo. Dinner and night at the hotel.
Day 19: Tulear - Antananarivo
Transfer to airport of Tuléar for Antananarivo' s flight.
Assistance during formalities of international flight departure or stay extension.
