Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in the Catania Fontanarossa Airport and car pick-up. Transfer to Caltagirone and accommodation in the selected hotel.
Day 2: Caltagirone and Piazza Armerina. Breakfast and departure for Caltagirone. We especially recommend the famous steps of Santa Maria del Monte and the many handicraft and ceramics shops scattered throughout the city. Do not miss Piazza Armerina and make sure to see the rare mosaics of the Roman Villa del Casale, one of the most important archeological sites of Italy. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Ragusa and Scicli. Breakfast, transfer to Ragusa and accommodation in hotel. Visit to Ragusa Ibla, a Baroque city center with many impressive church facades, remarkable historical monuments, and narrow and fascinating alleys. Afternoon visit to Scicli, a Baroque city bursting with history as you will see among the remains of many monuments and churches that you can see as you walk among the streets of the historical center. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Modica. Breakfast and departure for Modica; visit to this Baroque city of extraordinary beauty and scenografic power, as it was constructed on the steep walls of a cliff. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Siracusa. Breakfast, transfer to Siracusa and accommodation in hotel. Visit this fascinating city, discovering its 3000 years of history and the island of Ortigia, with its enchanting streets and secretive alleys. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Noto. Breakfast and departure for Noto. Visit to the capital of Sicilian Baroque, featuring marvelous churches and historical piazzas of a rare beauty. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Pantalica. Breakfast and departure for Pantalica, capital of an ancient Siculian Kingdom (Siculians are Sicily's ancient native people). Visit to the immense necropolis located in the rocky cliff sides, which were then transformed into habitations. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8: Breakfast, return of rental car and departure.
