Located Southeast of Mexico City, Orizaba is third highest peak in North America, towering to 18,700 feet above sea level. Popocatepetl is the seventh highest peak in North America with an elevation of 17,887 feet - however, due to recent volcanic activity it is off limits to climbing. Iztaccihuatl reaches 17,373 ft. Our volcano trip combines a good mix of culture and climbing, and the Mexican volcanoes are an excellent introduction to high altitude mountaineering.
