Experience tribal village life, visit weekly bazaars and support local tribal handicrafts and take home unique jewelry, hand-woven cloth, flutes and more. This is typical of our trekking adventures, a 6 day trek including a river journey by country boat to Ruma, then an moderate day's hike up a river bed to the lily-filled Boga lake and a lakeside Bawm tribal village. Below the lake you'll find a Marma village. On and up to Keokaradong, the highest peak in Bangladesh (4,400 ft.). There's no roads nor electricity this deep, but your heart will surely glow bright with the warm association of the Bawm and Marma people. You'll really enjoy their profound hospitality, and 'guitar' evenings.
Take a river cruise through the hills and then trek up to the natural formed lotus filled Boga Lake. Stay at a "Bawm" village and learn first-hand about this most peace-loving and open people. Stay with the headman and his family, join in a "guitar" evening. Then on and up to Keokeradong, the highest peak in Bangladesh (4,500 ft.).
Visit a Chakma village and historical Buddhist "Kyangs". Your visit will directly help in the preservation of this still pristine environment and tribal cultural heritage.
Your Itinerary
Day 1:
AM: Reception from Chittagong airport, drive to Bandarban.
PM: Sightseeing, Shopping, Leisure.

AM: Tour of the marketplace, Buddhist Shrines, tribal villages, Cultural Complex, Bohmong King's residence and Sangu river.
PM: Jeep drive through the hills, then a leisurely river cruise by country boat to Ruma Bazar.

AM: Early morning start for 5 hour easy trek to Boga lake and "Bawm" village.
PM: Swimming, Guitar evening, or just relax along with the villagers

AM: Up again for a 2 hour trek to "Darjeeling Para" and then a short jaunt to the peak of Keokeradong.
PM: Back to Boga lake and visit a 'Tripura" village, spend night in the Bawm village.

AM: Back down to Ruma Bazaar along the stream bed, visit mountain bazars on the way.
PM: Free time for exploring, shopping, swimming or plain relaxing at the Resthouse by the lake.

PM: Return to Chittagong for evening flight to Dhaka.
