Zanzibar is a dazzling cluster of little coral islands nestled in the unforgettable blue waters of the Indian Ocean, just 35km off the shores of Tanzania - and Borton knows it well. Steeped in history, Stone Town is a maze of narrow streets lined with white washed buildings and magnificently carved, brass studded teak doors of curios shops and bazaars. The Zanzibar experience would not be complete without a tour through the countryside to learn about the cultivation of species such as cloves, cinnamon, vanilla peppermint and lemon grass.
For those who truly wish to escape to paradise or to wash off the dust of safari, relax in the beauty of palm-studded beaches and some of the most beautiful waters you will ever see. Whatever you choose to do during your stay on Zanzibar, it is sure to be highlighted by the warm hospitality of your island hosts. Choose from small cottages or quaint inns scattered amid the palms, historic and exotic hotels or a luxurious resort that will cater to your every need.
We will assist you in selecting the perfect property based on your preferences. Scheduled and chartered flights are available from Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Mombasa and Nairobi. Several ferry companies offer regular and speedy service to Zanzibar by hydrofoil, leaving from the customs jetty in Dar es Salaam.
