This 7 day tour is designed as an extended version of the 5 Day Mayan Discovery Tour. Tikal, Yaxha, Quirigua, and Aguateca are all yours to see but with more time to enjoy them. It is a far more relaxed and enjoyable tour.

Your Itinerary
Day 1:
1. Depart Antigua for Poptun in the Peten jungle region of northern Guatemala.
2. Arrival in Poptun and check into hotel.
3. Orientation and tour briefing, all you can eat dinner.
Day 2:
1. Depart Poptun for the Mayan ruins of Yaxha.
2. Guided tour of Yaxha.
3. Onward transport to Flores Island, set in the waters of beautiful Lake Peten-Itza.
4. Check into hotel and have dinner.
Day 3:
1. Depart Flores for the town of Sayaxche.
2. Board private boat for trip down the Petexbatun River and into Lake Petexbatun.
3. Arrival at the Mayan ruins of Aguateca and guided tour.
4. Return to Sayaxche by boat and Flores by minibus.
5. Dinner and relaxation.
Day 4:
1. Boat tour of Lake Peten Itza.
2. Free time in the afternoon to relax or catch up on email.
Day 5:
1. Transport to Tikal, the most famous of Mayan ruins.
2. Guided tour of Tikal and the surrounding rainforest.
3. Transport back to Flores.
Day 6:
1. Transport from Flores to Rio Dulce.
2. Private boat tour of the Rio Dulce, including hot springs, a nature reserve, and the Garifuna (Carib) town of Livingston on the Caribbean coast.
3. Lunch in Livingston.
4. Return to Rio Dulce by boat.
5. Check into hotel and have dinner.
Day 7:
1. Transport from Rio Dulce to the ruins of Quirigua
2. Guided tour of Quirigua.
3. Transport back to Antigua.
