Day 1:
Arrive Bombay now renamed Mumbai, Capital State of Maharashtra-the land of 7 island & the business hub of India. Meeting & assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel.Afternoon visit Gateway of India, from where we procced for a boat excursion to Elephanta Island where you will see unparalled examples of Brahmanical Scultptures.These cave temples were built by carving out solid stone mountains, sometime between 450-750 AD Return to hotel,after sunset over the Arabian Sea, for Overnight in hotel.

Day 2:
Morning,after breakfast proceed for city tour of Mumbai.Drive past Flora fountain built in 1869, St thomas Cathedral built in 1672, the town hall,Tower of silence & the Prince of Whales museum. Later visit the Hanging gardens & the marine drive. Overnight in hotel.

Morning after breakfast,transfer to airport to connect flight at 0850 hrs for Cochin.Upon arrival at 1035 hrs, transfer to CASINO hotel. Afternoon city tour.This harbour capital city of the State of Kerala, presents a contrast of British, Dutch, Portuguese, Chinese & Jewish influence.Your tour takes you to Cochin harbour, Dutch palace, the Jewish synagogue,St Francis church, where lies the last remains of Vasco da Gama. Also see the chinese fishing nets. Overnight in hotel.

Morning after breakfast,boat cruise in the backwaters,ideal means of appreciating this important port's beautiful settings.Afternoon in time transfer to airport to connect flight at1510 hrs for Chennai, formally called Madras.On arrival at 1610 hrs, transfer to hotel.Balance day free. Overnight in hotel.

Morning after breakfast,Proceed for half day city tour of this modern yet ancient city.The capital city of the State of Tamil Nadu.See the St George fort,Govt.museum,the art gallery, Snake park, Kapaleeswarar temple, Santhome Cathedral.Later a drive along the Marina Beach, brings us back to our hotel. Afternoon depart by surface for Mahabalipuram, the seaside town of 7 Pagodas, washed by the waters of the Bay of Bengal.On arrival check into hotel for overnight.

Morning after breakfast, visit the 7th century pallava monument.These cave temples are cut out of a single rock. See the 5 story high temple built in the 7th century AD in the shape of a pyramid constructed in Dravadian style. Also visit the ancient Krishna & Ganesha Temples, besides the balancing rock. Afternoon depart by surface for Pondicherry birthplace of Shri Aurobindo. On arrival check into hotel for overnight.

Morning after breakfast,proceed for tour of this partially French City, whose foundation was laid by the French architect, Francis martin in 1739AD. Visit Auroville city and Aurobindo's Ashram, which is the final resting place of Shri Aurobindo & the Mother.Overnight in hotel.

Day 8:
Morning after breakfast,depart by surface for Chennai. Enroute visit Kanchipuram.Visit Shri Kamatchi Amman & Ekambaranatha Temple. Shop for world famous Kancheepuram silks, before continuing to Chennai airport. On arrival assistance at airport to connect flight at1720 hrs for Bangalore, capital of the State of Karnataka and also called the Garden city.On arrival at 1805 hrs, transfer to hotel.Overnight in hotel.

Morning after breakfast,depart by surface for Mysore. Enroute visit Srirangapatnam,an island surrounded by two tributaries of the river cauvery and once the capital city of Mysore kings. Visit the fort & the ancient Vishnu temple. Check into hotel.Afternoon proceed for half day tour of this city of palaces & sandelwood.Visit the Vrindavan gardens, Mysore Palace, housing various ancient Temples,The Jagmohan Palace(Chamrajendran Art Gallery.Drive to Chamundi Hill to see the Temple which houses

the 2000 year old royal deity Chamundeshwari. Also visit the Nandi statue, whose workmanship

is exquisite. Return to hotel for overnight.

Morning after breakfast, depart by surface for Bangalore. On reaching Bangalore proceed for city tour.Visit lalbagh Botanical gardens, Tipu Sultan's summer palace, the Bull Temple on Bagal hill & drive past the secretariat & other govenment buildings,before contunuing onwards to the airport to connect flight to Hyderabad at 1800 hrs. On arrival at 1900 hrs,tranfer to hotel for overnight.

Morning after breakfast,proceed for city tour of the twin city of Hyderabad & Secundrabad, capital city of the State of Andhra Pradesh,seperated by the hussain sagar lake, also know as the Budapest of India. Visit the Golconda fort, see the Osman

sagar-an artificial lake,Falak Numa Palace & the Buddha Purnima complex,where stands a 350 tonne gigantic Buddha statue, the highest in the world. Afternoon visit the Salarjung Museum, built in 1889, it houses the single largest private collection in the world. Later we visit the Charminar. Return to hotel for overnight.

Early morning,transfer to airport to connect flight at 0600 hrs for Bhubneshwar,capital city of the State of Orissa.Later on arrival at 0735 hrs, meeting,assistance and transfer to hotel.After breakfast,proceed for half day

city tour.Visit the world famous 11th century

Lingaraja Temple. Non Hindus are not allowed inside the complex,so we see from outside.The bindu sagar lake lying north of this temple

is our next halt-it's history dating back to

mythological times.Also we visit the Ananta Basudev, Mukteshwar & Parashurameswar Temples. Overnight in hotel.

Day 13:
Morning after breakfast,proceed for full day excursion to Konarak. Enroute we visit Udaigiri & Khandagiri buddhist caves.A clear view of Bhubneshwar town is visable from atop Khandagiri caves.Konarak Sun Temple,a shrine in stone built by king Narasimha in the 12th century AD, is 100ft high, decorated with thousand of sculptures consisting of carved animals, larger than life erotic groupings, statues & honeycombed rocks.The temple design depicts a chariot driven by 7 horses, with 12 immence stone wheels.The temple is dedicated to "Surya" The Sun God.On our return we stop over at a small village called Pipli, world famous for its very colourful Piplique workmanship,before driving direct to railway station to board overnight express train to Kolkatta,capital city of the State of west Bengal, at 2050 hrs. Overnight in train.

Day 14:
Arrive Kolkatta(formally called Calcutta)at 0610 hrs.Transfer to hotel.After breakfast,proceed for city tour. Visit The Victorial Memorial,which sits in mejestic splendour at the bottom end of this big green space called the "Maidan".An immence palace of white marble,built in honour of Queen Victoria by the British. Drive past the Race course to Botanical Gradens, founded in 1786.The 200 year old Banyan tree is the main attraction.Our last halt is the City Museum, constructed in 1814, it presents a 300 feet footage raising two stories high in Italian architecture. Afternoon free.Later in time transfer to railway station to board overnight express train to the holy city of Varanasi at 1920 hrs. Overnight in train.

Arrive Varanasi 1030 hrs.Transfer to hotel. Afternoon proceed for city tour of this very ancient town, situated on the banks of river Ganges, in the State of Uttar Pradesh.Visit the Ramgarh Fort,Bharat Mata Temple,walk around the narrow bylanes and the ghats,before returning to hotel for overnight.

Day 16:
Early morning, transfer to the Ghats to take an unforgetable boat ride on the Ganges.See the different Ghats ( bathing spots) built by kings & noblemen. Watch sunrise before returning to hotel for breakfast. Later in time transfer to airport to connect flight at 1220 hrs for Kajuraho- built by the Chandela kings some 1000 years ago-which probably form one of the best examples of Indian Erotic art.Enroute to the airport we take a short stopover at Sarnath-Buddha's first surmon was given here.Later on arrival at 1330 hrs,transfer to hotel.Afternoon visit the Western Group of Temples. Return to hotel for overnight.

Morning after breakfast,proceed for half day tour of the Eastern Group of Temples.Visit the magnificent cluster of richly decorated ancient temples Afternoon free till departure transfer to airport to connect flight at 1745 hrs for Agra, the city of Taj Mahal.On arrival at 1825 hrs, transfer to hotel for overnight.

Morning after breakfast,proceed for half day excursion to Fathepur Sikri,the abondoned capital city of Mughal Emperor Akbar the Great. Visit the Palace interiors.Return to Agra.

Afternoon visit Sikandra,Agra fort & Taj Mahal. Later in time transfer to railway station to

board super- fast express train at 2015 hrs for Delhi. (dinner on board) Arrive Delhi at 2210

hrs and transfer to hotel for overnight.

Morning after breakfast,proceed for full day city tour of the Capital of India.You combinly explore Old Delhi,the living legacy of the Mughals and Edward Lutyen's modern New Delhi- a striking contrast to Old Delhi.Evening visit Red Fort to witness son et lumaire. Overnight in hotel.

Early Morning transfer to railway station to board superfast train at 0610 hrs for Jaipur, capital city of the State of Rajasthan.On arrival at 1040 hrs transfer to Hotel.Afternoon proceed for half day city tour of Jaipur,visiting the City Palace, Observatory,War & Cloth museum (located inside the premises of city palace)and the Hawa Mahal or "The Palace of Winds " Return to hotel for overnight.

Morning after breakfast half day excursion to Fort Amer, where you ascend the fort main gates on elephant back.We also visit Nehargarh & Jaigarh fort before returning to hotel.Afternoon free to stroll around the colourful bazaars of Jaipur. Later in time transfer to railway station to board overnight express train at 2240 hrs for Jodhpur, another princly state of Rajasthan. Overnight in train.

Arrive Jodhpur at 0540 hrs.On arrival transfer to AJIT BHWAN PALACE hotel. After breakfast, proceed for city tour. Visit jaswant Thada,the white marble cenetoph of Maharana Jaswant Singh, surrounded by 4 other cenetops of later rulers. Next visit Mehrangarh Fort, built atop a hill. See the wonderful carvings & delicate lattice works on the hard sandstone walls of the fort.On return walk around this blue city bazars & see the ornate & ancient clock tower. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in hotel.

Morning after breakfast,depart by surface for Jaiselmer,the ancient desert city of Rajasthan and on arrival check into RAWAL KOT hotel. Afternoon proceed for city tour.Visit the Patwon-Ki & Salim Singh haveli,which is about 300 years old and housed the Prime Minister of Jaiselmer State. Also visit Gadisar lake,which once provided the entire water supply of the city. Next stop takes us to the 800 year Fort built of golden yellow sandstone by Price Jaisal on the Trikuta Hill. Within its walls defended by 99 turrets lies the old city,which is nearly a quarter of modern day Jaiselmer.Walk thru the narrow yet facinating bylanes before returning to hotel. Late afternoon proceed for sunset viewing on Sam Sand Dunes, to get the real feel of the Desert. Overnight in hotel

Morning depart by car for Udaipur,lake city of Rajasthan.Enroute visit Ranakpur group of Jain Temples. See some of the finest stone carvings & scultptures of this 15th century temple complex. Later on arrival check into hotel for overnight.

Morning after breakfast proceed for full day excursion Chittorgarh.Visit this imposing fort, Queen Padmani's Palace,the tower of fame & the victory tower erected by one of the greatest rajputh warrior kings, Maharana Rana Pratap in the 16th Century AD.Return to Udaipur,for overnight in hotel.

Morning excursion to Nagda,Eklinji & Nathdwara temples.Afternoon city sightseeing tour.Evening boat ride across lake Pichola.Overnight in Hotel.

Morning after breakfast,transfer to airport to connect flight at 0920 hrs for Mumbai.On arrival at 1105hrs,transfer in transit to connect flight at 1345 hrs for Goa,which boasts of some of the finest beaches in the world. later on arrival at 1445 hrs,transfer to hotel.Balance day at leisure. Morning after breakfast,proceeed for half day city tour of Old Goa.Visit Dona Paula for a panaromic view of India's largest natural harbour.Next stop is Miramar,a long beautiful avenue along the Mandovi river. proceed to Basilica of Bom Jesus, wherein enshrined in an oracle silver casket lies the body of St. Francis Xavier, believed to be more than 500 years old. Also visit Sea Cathedral,the biggest of its kind in Asia and end our tour with a visit to the Oillar Monestary-shrine of Fr Angelo De Souza,a saintly local priest.Afternoon free. Overnight in hotel.
