Our itinerary is the only one of its kind! It offers a diverse and in-depth Baja experience undertaking a different adventure every day. You will sea-kayak along a spectacular coastline, snorkel in many different fascinating places, swim with friendly sea-lion pups, canyon down a sub-tropical canyon, circumnavigate Isla Espiritu Santo, body surf in the Pacific, mountain bike along dirt tracks with breathtaking desert scenery and visited parts of Baja most tourists never get to see! Our personal and attentive approach will make this one of your best vacations ever.
Your Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrive in La Paz and transfer to your comfortable hotel. 9.00pm. Introductions and briefing.
Day 2 – One day sea-kayaking expedition from Tecolote to Pichilingue. This is a beautiful stretch of coastal scenery and includes lunch in one of Baja's most spectacular bays - Balandra. There are 7 soft white sandy beaches all within the bay and volcanic mountains towering in the background. The water is like one giant swimming pool and we will stop at a couple of places to snorkel and take our picnic lunch on a beautiful sand dune. That evening we will camp on a deserted beach. Includes: (L) (D)
Day 3 – A high speed boat ride will take us around the most impressive island you can imagine. Your guide will show you all the highlights of Isla Espiritu Santo and there will be a chance to hike a canyon, swim with sea-lion pups, kayak, snorkel and camp on one of the finest beaches in Baja. As the sun sets over the Baja peninsula you will feel like you have finally discovered paradise. Includes: (B) (L) (D)
Day 4 – Arise to a cooked breakfast and after a refreshing swim we will return to La Paz. Check into the hotel, showers and then the best fish tacos in Mexico! In the afternoon you are free to wonder around discovering this enchanting sea-side town. After two nights camping you can now enjoy the comforts of a sprung mattress! Includes: (B) (L) (D)
Day 5 – We will journey across the thickly forested cactus desert to explore Todos Santos, an attractive mission town. Red brick buildings, arts and craft shops, a garden café with delicious Cappachinos and the Cape's best english book shop make this a very worthwhile and enjoyable stop. Then the action begins when we 'hit' the Pacific beaches and boogie board (optional!) in powerful waves. A late afternoon hike along the coast climbing high up along some rugged cliffs completes the day. This time we are camped on the west side of Baja so we can enjoy watching the Baja sun sink into the Pacific Ocean. Includes: (B) (L) (D)
Day 6 – A morning swim and the expedition continues on around the Cape to Land's End. A visit to the sight of the old lighthouse and an opportunity to 'run wild' in a huge expanse of soft white dunes. Onto a spectacular beach for a snorkel amongst rock gardens in deliciously warm water. At the end of the afternoon arrive at another mission town, San Jose del Cabo to check into a comfortable guesthouse for the night. Includes: (B) (L) (D)
Day 7 – A narrow dirt trail takes us off-road to a small ranch nestled in the foot hills of the Sierra de La Laguna. After a 40 minute hike along a cattle trail through a dense cactus garden we are met by a breath-taking view into a deep canyon with huge white granite boulders, palm trees and fresh running water. Our expedition turns into an awesome day of canoeing as we boulder down this hidden canyon. Eventually we arrive at two beautiful, deep rock pools with waterfalls and an opportunity to cliff jump! After a long soak to ease aching muscles and a picnic lunch, a 40 minute ride in the van will take us back to the Gulf Coast to camp under a clear and starry night. Includes: (B) (L) (D)
Day 8 – Once again hitting the dirt trails but this time on a high quality Voodoo mountain bike with front fork suspension. Your guide will lead you along a dirt track amongst Cactus passing through villages forgotten by time and climbing high for breath-taking views of the Gulf. After a rewarding day of activity we will return to La Paz for a comfortable hotel and our farewell dinner together. Includes: (B) (L) (D)
