Cycle along quiet country roads past world-famous vineyards and through charming old villages. Or hop a train to nearby Dijon, the capital of Burgundy.

Your Itinerary

Day 1:
Here are your choices for daily activities:

Cycle through the Vineyards of the Côte d'Or South ... From Beaune, head south to Pommard, and return in an easy loop (16 km/10 mi). Wind your way among wine villages with names familiar to wine lovers around the world. Extend to Meursault (26 km/16 mi) or Puligny-Montrachet (35 km/22 mi).

Cycle into the Côte d'Or North ... Explore more wine villages as you bike to Aloxe-Corton, a famous wine town. Take it easy along a short, flat route (38 km, 24 mi). Add on a loop into the hills, returning through rich farmland (52 km, 30 mi).
(B)

Day 2:
Cycle on the Saône Plains ... An easy, mainly flat ride takes you into the countryside east of Beaune, among wheat and canola fields through charming villages like Verdun-sur-les-Doubs, famous for its fish stew (40 km/25 mi or 20 km/12 mi, shorter option).

Explore Beaune... Wander through the picturesque narrow streets of this pretty town with its magnificent old buildings, pausing perhaps to indulge in some wine-tasting.
(B)

Day 3:
Hop the train to Dijon ... Take a city break in Dijon, admire its rich architectural heritage, visit museums, do some shopping, and track down some the city's gastronomical specialties like the famous mustard.

All of these options may be done in any order on any day. It's up to you!
