Day 1: Cape Town -Cedarberg Area.
Our first day takes a relaxing drive up the West Coast road to the Cedarberg, via Citrusdal, where we will camp the night. Here you will be free to take a day walk, and explore the surroundings area. (dinner inlcuded.)
Day 2: Cedarberg - Augrabies Falls.
Leaving the Cedarberg we head for the Augrabies Falls National Park, after exploring the falls, ( Augrabies Meaning "the place of great noise", the worlds sixth largest waterfall) and the various attractions in the park, we set up camp for the night. (breakfast, lunch and dinner inlcuded)
Day 3: Augrabies falls - Fish River Canyon.
After a early start we cross the border at Onseepkans, moving on we travel, via Karasberg for some shopping. The evening will be spent camping at Hobas, where we will view the Fish River Canyon, the second largest in the world, eroded over a period of 1800 million years. (breakfast, lunch and dinner inlcuded)
Day 4: Fish River Canyon - Duwisib Castle
Heading North we make for the castle at Duwisib, built by Baron Von Wolfe, in 1908 on a farm near Maltahohe.The castle which is unique to the country,currently under restoration shows the rich past of a by gone era. Here we stay the night.(breakfast, lunch and dinner inlcuded)
Day 5 & 6: Duwisib - Sesriem/Sossusvlei.
Following the dirt road, we travel via Maltahohe, where we hope to have a traditional South African lunch, and stock up on some supplies, before moving on-to see the desert dunes of the Namib. Sossusvlei is a massive clay floor pan surrounded by by some of the highest dunes in the world, up-to 300 meters. The next two nights will be spent camping at Sesriem, from here we will pay visits to the Sesriem Canyon and Sossusvlei (where we will stay for a evening sun downer, before heading back to camp).(breakfast, lunch and dinner inlcuded)
Day 7 & 8: Sesriem - Swakopmund.
The mornings drive takes via Solitaire, to the Kuiseb Canyon, travelling over the 2334 meter high Gamsberg pass, we lunch at one of the spectacular views to be had along the way. Tonight we spend in relative luxury at the local chalets, here we will dine out one evening (own expense) . We will spend two days relaxing and exploring the area, with visits to the Welwitschia, the Moon landscape, and getting much needed supplies. (breakfast, lunch and dinner inlcuded)
Day 9: Swakopmund - Brandberg.
Departing from the seaside town of Swakopmund we head up north towards the Cape Cross Seal colony, where Diego Cao, first set foot on Namibian soil in 1885. Tonight we Camp wild in the region of the Brandberg.(breakfast, lunch and dinner inlcuded)
Day 10: Brandberg - Abu-Huab.
After a early morning walk to the "White Lady" Of the Brandberg we head towards Twyfelfontien (Paintings here constitute the largest concentration in Africa), Verbrandeberg, and the organ pipes.(breakfast, lunch and dinner inlcuded)
Day 11, 12, 13&14: Abu-Huab - Etosha.
A morning drive takes us to the Petrified forest, the forest is estimated to be in the region of about 20 million years old. From the Petrified forest we make our way to the Etosha National Park, here we will spend three full days taking Game drives and enjoying the serenity, two nights will be spent at Okaukuejo & Namutoni. (breakfast, lunch and dinner inlcuded)
Day 15 & 16: Etosha - Popa Falls.
Leaving Etosha behind us we head southeast towards Tsumeb, stopping en-route to view lake Otjikoto. After a brief stop in Tsumeb we take the long road North to Popa Falls, the next two days can be spent at leisure taking in the scenery, or just catching up on some sleep. Perhaps you will be able get one of the locals to take you on a Mokoro ride on the river. (breakfast, lunch and dinner inlcuded)
Day 17 & 18: Popa Falls - Chobe.
We cross into Botswana, and travel east on towards Kasane, in the Chobe National Park where we spend the the following day on a game drive. (breakfast, lunch and dinner inlcuded)
Day 19 & 20: Chobe - Victoria falls.
Exiting Botswana, we travel to Victoria Falls, here you are free to take a sunset cruise, go Bungi jumping, or river rafting (own expense). During the course of the day we will pay a visit to the Falls and the Giant Baobab tree. The following day is yours to explore the town at leisure. (all those clients wishing to end their tour here, must specify this on booking, this will warrant a reduction of US$80-00 on the price.) (breakfast, lunch and dinner inlcuded)
Day 21: Victoria falls - Hwange.
The road leads us through the rolling hills, towards Hwange, here we will spend the rest of the day on a game drive, tonight we camp at Main camp.(breakfast,lunch and dinner inlcuded)
Day 22: Hwange - Matobo.
Departing from Hwange we make for the Matobo National Park, time permitting this evening will be
occupied by a night game drive. Our camp this evening will be on the banks of the lake. Visits will also be paidto the grave of Cecil John Rhodes, Worlds view and some of the Caves in the area which are host to numerous Bush man painting.(breakfast, lunch and dinner inlcuded)
Day 23: Matobo - Tshipese.
Leaving Zimbabwe via Bietbridge we head for the hot springs and mineral baths at Tshipese. This even we will eat out at the local restaurant. (breakfast and lunch included)
Day 24: Tshipese - Johannesburg.
Unfortunately this morning marks the end of our travels as we head for Johannesburg, for onward journey, or flights home.(breakfast inlcuded)
*IMPORTANT: This tour involves a fair amount of walking, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Malaria precautions are necessary for the Northern Caprivi and the Zimbabwe section of the tour.
Included in the cost is all transport, tented / Chalets accommodation, national park fees, professional guide, group equipment, airport transfers and traditional dancing .
