The full benefit of the mother ship concept is realized when we venture into the great expanse of isolation in the Central Coast of BC, also called the Discovery Coast and the Great Bear Rain Forest.

Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive in Bella Bella either by plane or BC Ferry. Meet the rolano and get ready to begin your expedition. Welcome aboard! Orientation, stow gear. (D).

Day 2 - Get ready for your kayak adventure! Dine on delicious West Coast Cuisine, relax and enjoy the beauty of the area. Visit the village of Bella Bella, rich in First Nations Culture. (D).

Day 3 - Humpback whales, gray whales, dolphins, and porpoises travel the same channels as we head north. Kayak in the famous Hakai Pass. (B,L,D).

Day 4 - Lunch can be served aboard the mother ship, or taken onto a friendly beach during kayak travels. The mother ship is never far away for safety sake. Wildlife can often be seen on the shore lines and river banks. (B,L,D).

Day 5 - Each day three meals will be served, hot showers available and kayak guides providing instruction. Look for wolves, mountain goats and bears. (B,L,D).

Day 6 - Have the option of camping on shore. Take a hike in some pristine areas. Everything is done in the 'buddy' system. Look for petroglyphs while walking through the forest areas. Walk through tide pools and search for sea life such as anemones. (B,L,D).

Day 7 - Nearing the end of the week, we wind down the activity to prepare for disembarking back to where we started 6 days earlier. Have a paddle, lunch and we start missing you! (B,L,D).

Day 8 - Travel from the rolano to the BC Ferry, back to Port Hardy. A private van will pick you up and travel down the island to Victoria. Stops along the way for stretches and lunch at a quaint inn along the way. (B,L).
