Enjoy 30 miles of river touring from the Matanuska Glacier to Chickaloon, Alaska.
The trip starts with a run through the rapids, and ends with a mellow float along the scenic segment below the glacier and the magnificent peaks of the Chugach Range.
You'll be treated to a fine dinner prepared by your guide. Kick back and allow this area to overtake your senses. There are opportunities to explore several side drainages for tracks of the abundant wolves in this area. Sightings are rare, but it's not uncommon to hear them. Because of the easy logistics, this trip is very affordable for families and can include youngsters under 12 who are excluded from the whitewater segment.

What makes this glacier so special for this kind of activity? The easily accessible face is not abrupt, and the frontal ice formations have many safe routes through spectacular views of crevasses, caves and surface ponds. All you need is a sense of adventure, some suggested personal clothing, hiking boots and snacks.
