Our Coron Adventure is based on at the nothern most point of Palawan province. Coron is a 71 sqkm island off the coast of Busuanga, part of the Calamian Group. Coron is home to an indigenous population, the Tagbanua. Coron is unusual in that it has high cliffs, up to 700m high, small mangrove swamp inlets and crystal clear water full of coral. The island is a haven for birds, monkeys and monitor lizards. Accommodation during the trip is camping on the beach. All trips are self-paddle.
Your Itinerary
Day 1:
: Depart SeaCanoe Philippines Office, in the Coron Town market. We depart on the support Banca to the southern end of Coron Is., Calais Point, where your guide will give a safety/local area orientation/paddling briefing, followed by lunch prepared on the beach. We paddle north up the West Coast, following majestic limestone cliffs, lagoons, and deserted beaches. There are plenty of photo ops, snorkeling and wildlife (no guarantees on wildlife sightings). The afternoon is a continuation of the morning?s paddle. Upon arrival at the campsite, we pitch camp, have a few sunset drinks, dinner, and enjoy a campfire

Day 2:
After breaking camp and a full breakfast, we snorkel reefs and a ship wreck, paddle and swim into caves, observe indigenous lifestyles and fishing practices, see bird and animal life, and gaining a better understanding of the Philippines? nature and culture. At the campsite we provide fresh water showers and dinner fully prepared on the beach.

Day 3:
Break camp, eat breakfast, and begin the morning paddle with a dramatic change in the karst limestone formations. We paddle around the North point of the triangular shaped island into extraordinary marine limestone, 20m drop off reefs with water so clear you can see the bottom, tidal sea arches, and totally hidden lagoons only accessible by kayak. After the paddle, the Support Banca delivers us to Makinit Hot Springs for a well-deserved relaxing swim.

Day 4:
Motor across the bay to Tangat Island Reserve on the support Banca. Paddle down the east coast of this smaller limestone island, Tangat Island Reserve, snorkel on a WWII Japanese Gun Boat and experience the wonders an inter-island tidal mangrove river. Return by Banca to Coron town.
