Nairobi’s most cosmopolitan hotel and Kenya’s largest and most exciting theme park, this is truly an oasis of tranquility set in the heart of Nairobi. The Safari Park Hotel blends stylishly elegant architecture, supremely luxurious accommodation, sparkling water gardens, an inland beach, 64 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and a wide choice of international restaurants. 204 spacious rooms each with individual balconies, 24-hour room service, tropical swimming pool, a casino and curio shops. There is a free hourly shuttle bus service to and from the city center (15min ride). The evenings offer a wide selection of nightclub activities, from The Safari Cats dance troupe, live bands, piano bar, casino, lounge and the Safari Experience.

DAY 2 SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
After breakfast, you are transferred to the airport for your scheduled flight at 08h00 to the Samburu National Reserve. Upon arrival you are met and transferred to your beautiful tented lodge. After lunch embark on an afternoon game drive. Samburu Intrepids Camp (BLD)

Perched on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River in the heart of Samburu National reserve, Samburu Intrepids enjoys a unique perspective of one of Africa’s most celebrated wildernesses. The camp’s location deep inside the reserve guarantees close encounters with the region’s shier wildlife, including elephant, lion, leopard, and Samburu’s famous ‘unique five’ - the rare reticulated giraffe, long-necked gerenuk antelope, Somali ostrich, Grevy’s zebra, and majestic Beisa Oryx.

Because of the warm climate, Samburu Intrepids’ public areas are all palm-thatched and open to the elements, raised on stilts to catch the cooling breeze blowing off the river. The main dining room has a seating capacity of 60, and opens onto an outdoor dining terrace, where buffet breakfasts and lunches are served overlooking the river. (Meals can also be enjoyed on your private verandah or at one of a series of specially selected 'bush sites’ close to the camp.)

Intrepids also boasts a spacious lounge and bar area, where our naturalists deliver fascinating slide shows on most evenings, and an intimate conference room with a television for viewing wildlife documentaries. Behind the bar, surrounded by shady sunbathing areas, is our freeform swimming pool - a soothing drop of blue in this otherwise arid land.

DAY 3 SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
Morning and afternoon activities in Samburu National Reserve. The area is home to a variety of rare game and is inhabited by hundreds of different bird species. Samburu Intrepids (BLD)

DAY 4 LAKE NAIVASHA
Morning activities and then transfer to the airstrip with picnic lunch. At noon you will fly back to Nairobi, where you are met by your driver guide and transferred by road to the Great Rift Valley Lodge. Later, there will be the chance of a guided nature walk through the forest and a boat ride on the lake.
Great Rift Valley Lodge (BLD)

Perched on the side of the Eburru Escarpment, overlooking the sparkling waters of Lake Naivasha and the sweeping floor of the world's largest valley, the Great Rift Valley Lodge & Golf Resort enjoys one of the most spectacular views in all of Africa. Just one-and-a-half hours' drive from Nairobi (or a 30-minute flight to our own airstrip), the lodge is the perfect stopover on a safari to the Maasai Mara or the sights of western Kenya. As well as Kenya's newest and most stunning championship golf course, the lodge offers exciting walking and horse-riding safaris in the Eburru forests, and mesmerizing “trips back in time” along a string of volcanic lakes with the world's most diverse and concentrated bird life.

The social “heart” of the Rift Valley Lodge is the clubhouse building, which offers fine dining and beautiful views from its panoramic restaurant and broad balconies. Around the clubhouse, the lush fairways and sparkling lakes of the 6,580-yard, 18-hole golf course fan out in different directions, all with sweeping views over the surrounding countryside. As well as all the facilities you would expect of a professional golf club, the clubhouse offers a comfortable restaurant, two bars, and a luxurious lounge with a fireplace and satellite television for the use of lodge guests. Visitors can also take advantage of a wide variety of modern sports facilities, including a driving range and practice greens, two tennis courts, and a freeform swimming pool, as well as comprehensive corporate facilities, including three conference rooms and a business center.

The Great Rift Valley Lodge offers 21 twin and 9 double rooms, all with private balconies overlooking the spectacular valley floor. The rooms are located in spacious two- and three-story blocks, and are beautifully furnished with large four-poster beds, handmade wooden furniture, African prints, and modern en suite bathrooms. Several of the rooms have interlinking doors that convert them into spacious family suites.

DAY 5 LAKE NAIVASHA
After breakfast, depart with a picnic lunch to Lake Nakuru National Park for the day. The park is home to thousands of flamingos for much of the year, as well as other birds and plains game animals. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon. Great Rift Valley Lodge (BLD)

DAY 6 MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
Begin the day with a cultural visit to the local Maasai and then lunch. Afternoon transfer and flight to Maasai Mara at 15h20. Enjoy game viewing enroute. Mara Intrepids Camp (BLD)

Perched above a sweeping bend in the Talek River, at the confluence of the Maasai Mara's four game-viewing areas, the Mara Intrepids enjoys one of the most spectacular locations in the Maasai Mara ecosystem. Its 30 luxury tents spread along the river, where hippo and other animals can be seen regularly, and ensure privacy and peace. Each tent is furnished in the classic style of the grand African safaris, with large four-poster beds and handsome reproduction furniture offset by modern en suite bathrooms with hot showers, flush toilets and all modern amenities.

The camp is only a short drive from the Mara River, where more than a million wildebeest and zebra make their perilous migration crossing every July and August. The deluxe camp also offers excellent game viewing, with large local populations of the 'big five', lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard. Lesser predators, such as the cheetah, hyena, serval cat, bat-eared fox also thrive here together with the prolific wildebeest, Zebra, Hartebeest, Giraffe and Eland.

DAY 7 MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
Morning and afternoon activities in Maasai Mara National Reserve. The Maasai Mara is world famous for big game. Together with the adjoining Serengeti it is one of the only places in the world where it is still possible to see vast herds of grazing animals. Attracted by those huge herds are the predators - Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and more. However, a visit to the Mara is not only about seeing the "Big 5," it's also home to a wide variety of birds. In the River Mara there are hundreds of Hippos and some Crocodiles sunning themselves on the banks. Mara Intrepids Lodge (BLD)
