Instructor Steve Northup's objective is to help student's capture on film what they see with their eyes. He will discuss topics encountered by travel photographers. There will also be assignments and time to review student's ongoing work. Incredible images abound! We'll head up into the western highlands - to Lake Atitlan - breathtakingly gorgeous, particularily during that 'magic hour' when its three volcanoes rise out of the early morning mists. There you'll visit local markets and picturesque villages along the lake's shores. Somewhere along the way, we'll fit in a stop at San Andreas Ixtapa - fascinating home to Maximon - a diety still revered by indigenous and Ladinos alike. Daily print critique sessions are an important part of the learning experience. That's when editing, cropping, exposure, focus and visual impact are discussed.
Notes:
Airfare is not included in the tour price.
