Sunday to Friday, arrive at base camp around noon the first day, and depart around 10 AM the final day.
Your Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive at cabin around noon, familiarization and orientation, sea kaying lessons, short paddle, accommodation in the cabin for the evening. Includes: (L), (D);
Day 2: Paddle to Burdwood Bay, whale-watching possible, other wildlife viewing, camp in tents this evening. Includes: (B), (L), (D);
Day 3: Paddle in the open Pacific Ocean, an alternate activity is to hike in the old growth forest, spend the night in the same location as the previous evening. Includes: (B), (L), (D);
Day 4: Paddle to Friendly Cove, and visit the many historic locations at this wonderful site, plenty of hiking, a freshwater swim, beach-combing, camp the night here. Includes: (B), (L), (D);
Day 5: Paddle back to the Spanish Pilot Group Islands in the vicinity of our cabin for the final evening, visiting points of interest along the way. Camp near the base camp, or at extra cost in the cabin itself. A night paddle is possible on this day. Includes: (B), (L), (D);
Day 6: After breakfast, the group returns to Gold River. There will be plenty of time for guests to catch the Nanaimo ferry to Vancouver the same day, or alternatively, catch a flight from Campbell River to Vancouver. Bon voyage! Includes: (B).
