We pack into the very Southwest corner of Colorado and the homelands of the Ancient Indians. Come explore known ruins and help us discover new sites! Emphasis is on education, including the culture, history, and preservation of the area. Foremost is to enjoy the enchantment of the country.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Meet at ranch or we pick you up at your motel. Visit the "Anasazi Heritage Center" outside of Cortez, CO. Then travel to the trail head to pack into camp. (L) (D)
Day 2: Saddle up to start exploring the canyons and ruins of the "Ancient Ones". Preserved by time are granaries, pictographs and pectoglyphs. (B) (L) (D)
Day 3: Visit to a "Hovenweep" ruin and explore more canyons and ruins. (B) (L) (D)
Day 4: Conclude any remaining exploring and pack out to trail head. (B) (L)
