Your Itinerary
Day 1: Ankara Cappadocia
In the morning, drive through the Anatolian countryside to Biblical Cappadocia, visiting the 13th Century Agzękarahan Caravan Inn en route. Afternoon visit the underground city of Kaymaklę where thousands of early Christians lived concealed from their prosecutors. Visit citadel of Uchisar. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia. Day 2: Cappadocia
After breakfast visit Goreme with its rock chapels decorated with frescoes dating from the 6th to the 12th Century, the cliff-side Byzantine Monastic Complex of Zelve. Lunch and visit Avanos village, famous with its handicrafts. Dinner and overnight. Includes: (B), (L), (D);
Day 3: Cappadocia Konya Ankara
Early departure from your hotel to explore Konya with its beautiful Seljuk Turkish Architecture, including the Mevlana Museum, a 13th Century whirling Dervish monastery. Celaleddin Rumi, mystic poet and founder of the Dervish order, is buried here amid great pomp. Return to Ankara. Includes: (B), (L).
