Your Itinerary
Day 1: Lake McDonald
From Whitefish we shuttle to an introductory hike on Big Mountain, with sweeping views of the Park. Among giant cedars, spend the evening relaxing in Lake McDonald Lodge. (D).
Day 2: Going-to-the-Sun
Morning starts by crossing Glacier's renowned Going-to-the-Sun Road and hiking the Highline Trail, a classic alpine route straddling the Continental Divide. We spend the afternoon traveling to Canada and the charming hamlet of Waterton. (B/L/D).
Days 3-4: Waterton Lakes
Our two-day medley of hikes in Waterton features wildflowers, waterfall-crowned valleys, and surreal landscapes of alpine tundra as we hike from Cameron Lake to Carthew Pass. The next day it's on to beautiful Rowe Lake with magnificent views of Lineham Ridge. (B/L/D).
Days 5-6: Many Glacier Valley
Conclude with two days of naturalist-led hikes in Many Glacier. Enjoy a close-up look at the ice caves, crevasses and moraines of Grinnell Glacier. Trek to Ptarmigan Falls and the stunning cirque containing Iceberg Lake. After a farewell picnic, we return to Whitefish. (B/L/D).
