Spring is one of the finest times to visit Japan; the winter chill has been replaced by warm sunny days and beautiful clear blue skies and of course, the cherry blossoms burst into dramatic blooms across the country.

Our Spring tour will take you on a 14 night adventure through the heart of Honshu. You'll experience Japan's many sides as we begin in Osaka, the concrete beating heart of the Kansai region, visit the serene town of Nara, and stay in a Ryokan (traditional inn) in the former Imperial Capital Kyoto, before moving on to Kanazawa on the Japan sea coast and then up into the mountains for two nights in Takayama (literally, high mountain).

From here we move back down to Nagoya and on to the picturesque town of Asuke before heading back up into the mountains for a night in the ancient castle town of Matsumoto where we again sample the delights of Ryokan hospitality before departing for the modern capital - Tokyo.

Arrival in Tokyo will you jolt you back into the 21st century. Two nights here will give you the chance to get to grips with this modern metropolis. It's a crazy city, constantly alive and buzzing with energy. Don't worry though, escape from the crowds is just around the corner as we embark on three nights of relaxation, first at a ryokan in Kamakura and secondly with two nights at a hot-spring resort in Hakone. Our final destination is a return to Osaka by the world renowned 'bullet' train - sit back and watch the world fly by. Once back in Osaka, we'll be sure to enjoy one last night of great food and entertainment before saying our farewells.
