Malapascua has lots of thresher sharks (have you ever seen one?). If the body of the thresher shark is 2 meters long the upper part of the tail is also 2 meters long. It is a beautiful animal and in my whole life (before Malapascua was discovered) I had only seen 2. 1 at Bancoran island and another 1 at Basterra reef. They usually inhabit deep water are considered extremely rare. In Malapascua, it is possible to see as many as 9-10 on a single dive. There is a manta cleaning station around 50 meters from where the threshers are. There are also eagle & marble rays, whitetip reef sharks, tuna, lots of other big fish and some shipwrecks. If you would like to dive the wrecks you will have to bring along a dive light.
