It is one of the most frequented and popular trek in Ladakh passing over 3 high passes and many villages. The trek offers most enchanting view of Ladakh Himalayas. High altitude pastures of Nimaling in the fore ground of Mt. Kang Yatse is campers delight. Activities: A moderately strenuous and exiting trek for adventurous soul which offers everything in a single trek which any trekker would like to experience. On a clear day, one can see Nanga Parvat from Ganda La (4900 mt). This route also offers easy climbing possibilities like Kang Yatse (6400 mt) and Stok Kangri (6120 mt).
Your Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive - Delhi
Arrive Delhi. Met on arrival at international and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2: Delhi - Leh
Early morning flight to Leh. Rest of the day for acclimatization. In the evening, visit Sankar Monastery, Shanti Stupa and Leh Bazar. Overnight stay in Hotel.
Day 3: Leh
Full day say for sightseeing tour of monastery of Indus Valley. Visit Shey, Thiksey and Hemis Monastery.
Day 4: Leh - Martselang - Chogdo
Drive to the road head Martselang. Start trek to Chogdo (3956 m).
Day 5: Chogdo - Kangmarula Base
Trek to base of Kangmaru-La (5100 Mt) by covering approx. 14 kms.
Day 6: Kangmaru-la Base - Kangmarula
Start up-trek to Kangmaru-la (5100 m). Descend on the other side to Nimaling (4268 m). Nimaling is the most beautiful high altitude pasture land of this valley.
Day 7: Nimaling - Hankar - Markha
Trek to Markha (3650 m) via Hankar (3985 m).
Day 8: Markha - Chalok - Skiu
Trek to Skiu via Chalok (3567 m) by covering approx. 20 kms.
Day 9: Chalok - Shingo
Trek to Shingo (3450 m). It is an ascent upto Shingo by following a stream coming from Ganda-la.
Day 10: Shingo - Ganda La - Rumbak
Start up-trek to Ganda-la (4900 Mt). Descend on the other side and trek to Rumbak village.
Day 11: Rumbak - Stok La - Mankarmo
Trek to Stok-la (4700 m). descend on the other side and trek to Mankarmo.
Day 12: Mankarmo - Stok - Leh
Trek to Stok, Visit Stok Palace and museum and drive to Leh.
Day 13: Leh
Day at leisure for independent activities.
Day 14: Leh - Delhi
Morning flight to Delhi. Met on arrival at Delhi airport and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 15: Depart Delhi
Optional sightseeing tour of Delhi. Transfer to international airport in time to board flight to onward destination.
