August 9-13, 2002: Experience Greene and Greene's arts and crafts "Gamble House," a special exhibit on Winslow Homer at LACMA, the amazing Pageant of the Masters performance, the Festival of Arts outdoor art fair, the Getty Museum, the Norton Simon, the Huntington Library and Art Collections, and more with art historians and university professors as your tour hosts and guides.
Your Itinerary
Day 1:
Tour Richard Meier's spectacular Getty Museum in the afternoon and evening to enjoy the art, gardens, architecture and views by day and at night. Welcome dinner in Old Town Pasadena is included.

Day 2:
In the moring, enjoy a private tour of the historic Arts and Crafts "Gamble House" residence built by the firm of Greene and Greene. Afterwords, spend the rest of the day at the beautiful Huntington Library, Botanical Gardens and Art Collections and tour artworks such as Gainsborough's "Blue Boy." Enjoy a traditional tea in the Huntington's Rose Garden Tea Room (that will certainly suffice for lunch).

Day 3:
Tour the new exhibit at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art "Murillo: Spanish Baroque Master" as well as the outstanding permanent collection of LACMA.

Day 4:
Travel by coach to Laguna Beach for an evening performance of "The Pageant of the Masters." This event spellbounds sellout crowds every summer season with its combination of art and theater. During the day, enjoy the town of Laguna Beach and the nation's largest art fair, "Festival of Arts."

After breakfast, our five day tour concludes with a visit to the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena. Known for its outstanding collection of Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, Old Master and Asian artworks, the Norton is a must for any visitor to Southern California.
