| Ama Dablam is a mountain in the Himalaya range of eastern Nepal. The main peak is 22,349 feet, the lower western peak is 18,251 ft. Ama Dablam means "Mother and Pearl Necklace" (the perennial hanging glacier is thought of as the pearl) and is a stunningly beautiful mountain that many people who visit the area will consider the best in the region. For several days, Ama Dablam will dominate the eastern sky for anyone trekking to Mount Everest. |
