Solentiname belongs to the rainy tropical zone with defined dry season. The vegetation of the archipelago is own of the zone of forests of transition of the humid tropic to the dry tropic. Most of the surface of Solentiname is occupied by young forests or of regeneration and by tacotales, only in the island of Macarroncito is a mature forest. On the islands of archipelago sites can be found archaeological and pre-Columbian sculptures can be watched.
