Bent's Old Fort National Historic Site located in Otero County, Colorado, features a reconstruction of a trading post from the early 1800s, one of the few white outposts along the Santa Fe Trail. Visitors can take a guided tour of the fort, reconstructed from photos and diaries, or explore on their own. During summer months, "living history" performers recreate life at the old fort.
