The two-story bell here is cast with the texts of more than 100 Buddhist scriptures. Believed to date from Emperor Yongle's reign, the 46-ton relic is considered a national treasure. The temple also houses the Ancient Bell Museum (Guzhong Bowuguan), a collection of bells from various dynasties and styles.
