Bled Castle

| The Bled castle stands on a rock about 100 m above the lake. There is a great view to the town, lake and countryside. A Romanesque tower stood in the place of the present castle in 1004. Parts of the castle were added the period of 800 years. The most interesting is the chapel, which was consecrated to the Bishop St. Albumin and St. Ingenious The castle is arranged as a museum. There is also large collection of armour and weapons from the 16th the 18th centuries. Interesting is also a jewellery some interesting carvings. |
