Caernarfon Castle

| Caernarfon Castle was constructed at Caernarfon in North Wales by King Edward I of England, following his conquest of the country in 1283. It is architecturally one of the most impressive of all of the castles in Wales. Birthplace to the first English Prince of Wales, the tradition continues to this day, with the castle acting as the setting to the Investiture of Prince Charles as the Prince of Wales in 1969. The castle is also home to the Regimental Museum of the Royal Welch Fusiliers. |
