| Calangute is a census town in North Goa in the state of Goa, India. It is famous for its beach which is visited by domestic and international tourists alike. The peak tourist season is during Christmas and New Year, and during summers in May. To the north lies Baga, and south Candolim. Calangute remains warm through the year with little temperature fluctuation. The waves are not too harsh and it is very enjoyable on the beach, even for children, though the ocean is too rough for swimming during the monsoon season. |
