Coma Pedrosa is the highest point in the principality of Andorra. Located in the northwest of the tiny Pyreneean nation, it rises to a height of 2942 metres. The nearest town is Arinsal, La Massana.
The peak is a favourite for mountain climbers - not technically difficult, but strenuous. Several mountain lakes and tarns are found on the slopes, notably Estanys de Baiau, which lies on the western slopes, across the Spanish border... The feeling of light-headed elation on reaching the summit cannot be described.
